Academy O&P Career Awareness Campaign Wins Gold Award in MarCom Contest

Scott Cummings, PT, CPO, FAAOP, president of the American Academy of
Orthotists and Prosthetists announced that the Academy’s O&P Career
Awareness campaign won the Gold Award in the MarCom Award Contest in the
category of External Communication Program.

The Academy’s O&P Career Awareness campaign was developed to
increase awareness about the career opportunities available in the orthotic and
prosthetic profession. The campaign consists of a video, A Future with Meaning:
Making a Career of Making a Difference, as well as a brochure that provides a
comprehensive overview of the profession and information on how to enter one of
the CAAHEP approved education programs.

The Academy’s Paul E. Leimkuehler Online Learning Center (OLC) also
received honorable mention in the category of Web Based Training.

“This type of recognition highlights the work of the Academy and
our efforts to advance the profession. The many volunteers who dedicated their
time to work with staff on the Career Kit and Online Learning Center projects
are to be commended,” Cummings stated in a press release.

The MarCom Awards is an international creative competition that
recognizes outstanding achievement by marketing and communication
professionals.
