President Urged to Recognize Limb Loss Awareness Month

The Amputee Coalition has submitted a presidential proclamation request to designate April as Limb Loss Awareness Month. In order for the proclamation to be passed, the Amputee Coalition is requesting that supporters contact that White House and ask that the President sign the Limb Loss Awareness Month Proclamation.

In 2011, governors in nearly 40 states signed similar proclamations to designate April as Limb Loss Awareness Month in their respective states. This year, the Amputee Coalition is hoping to achieve designation on a national level in order to give those in the limb loss community a chance to support one another and educate the broader community about limb loss awareness and prevention.
