American Prosthetics & Orthotics names new branch manager

American Prosthetics & Orthotics announced Jeff Palmer, CPO, as the new branch manager and director of operations at its Iowa City patient care facilities. He replaces John Kamp, CPO.

Palmer is responsible for a staff of 21 clinicians, technicians and support staff at three facilities, including the University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics, the University of Iowa Sports Medicine Center and a patient care center on Muscatine Ave., according to a press release.  He is also the mentor and director of the orthotic and prosthetic residency program in Iowa City. Palmer completed his graduate studies in prosthetics and orthotics at Northwestern University and is a member of the Iowa Prosthetic, Orthotic and Pedorthic Association.

“Jeff has been with our practice for more than 10 years and previously was the assistant manager in Iowa City,” Rod Cheney, executive vice president of APO, stated in the release. “He has excellent management skills as well as clinical expertise, helping to restore function and mobility at our orthotic and prosthetic patients.”
