Upper-Limb Prosthetic Society names new chairman

Patrick Prigge, CP, FAAOP, clinical manager with Advanced Arm Dynamics, has been named new chair of the Upper-Limb Prosthetic Society (ULPS).

Prigge has been a member of ULPS for 5 years and has recently served as vice-chair. He is currently the clinical manager of the North Central Center of Excellence, and has been an upper extremity specialist with Advanced Arm Dynamics since 2008.

Prigge has served as the director of prosthetics education for OttoBock HealthCare, and received his prosthetic certification from Century College.

In his new role, he will focus on growing the ULPS membership; engage speakers and provide clinical content for the Academy Webinar Series, the Online Learning Center and the National Assembly meetings; promote clinical publishing in upper limb prosthetics, and increase networking and educational opportunities for members.

The Upper-Limb Prosthetic Society comprises more than 100 members and operates under the umbrella of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists.
