Ottobock announced Kevin Flatt of Cookeville, Tenn., as the first winner of the C-Leg 15 Year Anniversary Photo Contest.
Participants are asked to submit photos or videos on how the C-Leg or other prosthetic device has changed their lives. Flatt’s photo captures him rock climbing with his young daughter. According to a company press release, one winning photo or video will be chosen each month through November. Prizes include an iPad or GoPro camera, and a grand prize of $1,000 to be awarded in December.
“We have been fortunate at Ottobock to have a front row seat to the stories of the extraordinary impact the C-Leg technology has had on users the world over,” Karen Lundquist, director of communications for Ottobock, stated in the release. “Their experiences are inspiring and motivating and I am excited to have this opportunity to share a photographic glimpse of the everyday heroes the competition is gathering. These are people we can all relate to and celebrate.”
