Myomo, Paralyzed Veterans of America announce partnership

Myomo has announced a new partnership with Paralyzed Veterans of America, through which the company will provide financial assistance for programs for paralyzed veterans while educating members of Paralyzed Veterans of America on the potential benefits of the MyoPro myoelectric orthosis.

“Myomo is pleased to partner with Paralyzed Veterans to work with this important group of military heroes who sacrificed so much to serve our country,” Paul R. Gudonis, Myomo CEO, said in a press release.

“We embrace opportunities to partner with companies like Myomo that serve to expand the boundaries of independence for paralyzed veterans,” Al Kovach, Jr., national president of Paralyzed Veterans of America, said in the release.

Myomo will host a discussion for practitioners during the Paralyzed Veterans’ National Summit in September on appropriateness criteria and functional benefits of MyoPro. Myomo also will offer hands-on demonstrations of MyoPro, clinical specialists and information, according to the release.
