Agility Health orthotics division achieves Medicare accreditation

Agility Health recently announced that BioCorrect LLC, its wholly owned orthotics subsidiary, has achieved Medicare accreditation.

BioCorrect met the Durable Medical Equipment, Prosthetics, Orthotics and Supplies (DMEPOS) Quality Standards established by the CMS, according to a company press release.

“This opens doors for our current and potential patients who can now benefit from insurance coverage for custom foot orthotics and pedorthic products and services,” Stacy Parent, director of marketing and operations for Biocorrect, said in the release. “We are participating with Medicare and Blue Cross Blue Shield traditional insurance, and we plan to work with other commercial insurances in the near future.”

“This development also increases our ability to cross-sell Biocorrect [orthoses] through Agility Health’s outpatient clinics,” Steve Davidson, Agility Health CEO, said in the release.

Biocorrect was evaluated and accredited through the American Board of Certification of Orthotics, Prosthetics and Pedorthics (ABC) and passed the assessment with no required modifications, according to the release.
