ReWalk receives first-ever federal board approval for continuing education units

The Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy has approved ReWalk Robotics’ Clinician Basic Training Program for continuing education units.

Physical therapists who complete the training course will qualify for continuing education units (CEUs) as part of their required professional training and certification, according to a press release. Those participating in the program are eligible for CEUs immediately.

“We are proud that our training program is considered to be at a caliber to qualify for Federation of State Boards of Physical Therapy (FSBPT) certification — a first for our industry,” Larry Jasinski, ReWalk CEO, said in the release. “It is an important moment for the company, knowing that our extensive training standards and program protocols meet the FSBPT’s strict requirements.”

The decision, rendered by the national authority for physical training, makes ReWalk the only exoskeleton manufacturer with a CEU-approved training program for physical therapists.

The training program is eligible across 22 states, according to the release. Interested parties should contact the company’s headquarters.
