The Athletes With Disabilities Network (ADN) recently hosted Sports Ability Day, giving people with disabilities the chance to try water sports. Led by Brandon Holiday, ADN program director and amputee athlete, the event featured an opportunity for adaptive kayaking. The mission of the ADN North East Chapter, according to its brochure, is “to promote a better quality of life for people with physical disabilities by creating awareness and offering opportunities to get involved with athletic, recreational and educational activities locally.”
