The Paralyzed Veterans of America recently announced it has awarded 11 college students each with a $1,000 scholarship through its Paralyzed Veterans’ Educational Scholarship Program.
“For nearly 30 years, Paralyzed Veterans’ has been helping members and their families continue their education through our scholarship program,” Al Kovach Jr., national president of the group, said in a recent press release. “We are very proud to be able to support new students each year and we wish this year’s awardees all the best in their future endeavors.”
The 2015 to 2016 awardees are Miah Crockett, of Sonoma State University; Lynn Curley, of Navajo Technical University; Samantha Gardner, of the University of Nebraska, Lincoln; Hannah Groce, of Milligan College; Hope Harmon, of Lipscomb University; Baylie Mann, of Appalachian State University; Shannon Palmer, of Miami University; Kalani Prokop, of Eastern Washington University; April Saint, of Walden University; Chris Santistevan, of Western Governors University; and Robert Taylor, of Liberty University, according to the release.
Scholarship applications for the 2016 to 2017 academic school year will be available April 2016.
