Iowa-based American Prosthetics & Orthotics announced it recently hosted Rep. David Young (R-Iowa). Young toured the facility and discussed the proposed Local Coverage Determination (LCD) for Lower Limb Prosthetics and other reimbursement issues with Nick Ackerman, CP, LP, director of prosthetics; Gary Cheney, CPO, LPO, FAAOP, director of compliance and patient services; and Don Shurr, CPO, LPO, PT, according to a company press release.
“We also asked for and received his support on H.R. 1526 (Medicare Audit Improvement Act of 2015) and H.R. 1530 (Medicare Orthotics and Prosthetics Improvement Act of 2015),” Cheney stated in the release.
