Prosthetic Care Facility of Virginia receives trademark for new service

The Prosthetic Care Facility of Virginia recently announced it has received a trademark for the name, Destination Prosthetics.

According to a press release, Destination Prosthetics is a program for amputees who want to achieve mobility, but do not have access to rehabilitative care. John Hattingh, CP, LPO, CPO (SA), works with patients, reviewing limb-loss history, and fitting them with the correct socket and components. Patients accepted for the service receive one-on-one treatment at the Prosthetic Care Facility of Virginia. Patients also receive gait training and education in the care and use of their components, as well as adjustments when needed, according to the press release. Travel expenses and accommodations are covered.
