O&P Practices ‘Think Pink’ for Breast Cancer Awareness Month

As October passes by, so too does a yearly tradition – breast cancer awareness month. The annual health campaign, organized by both major and minor charities, aims to increase awareness of the disease and to raise funds for research into the cause, prevention, treatment and cure of breast cancer. It also offers support to those with the disease.

As breast cancer is an issue that can impact the O&P profession, O&P News looks at how practices and companies made the most of the time. Michael Burton and Robin Burton pose in pink with their dog, Dixie; staff at Coyote Design Orthotic and Prosthetic Technologies synchronize colors to show support; Orthotics Holdings Inc. pose for a group photo; and SLACK News staff gather for a show of strength.

While breast cancer awareness month is limited to October, breast cancer support is a year-round event. The O&P community is proud to support this venture, and O&P News is proud to bring the news surrounding it.
