OPAF is accepting applications for the Dale Yasukawa Scholarship Fund

The Orthotic and Prosthetic Activities Foundation is accepting applications for its Dale Yasukawa Scholarship Fund, according to a press release. The deadline is set for May 15.

According to the release, the $1,000 scholarship is intended to assist Northwestern University students enrolled in the O&P master’s degree program attend their local chapter or society meeting of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists (AAOP). It is expected that the award will be used specifically to cover local AAOP meeting registration fees, and as well as the cost of books, supplies and equipment at Northwestern.

The award is made possible by the memorial fund for Dale Yasukawa, CP, who died in 2001. Yasukawa was director of prosthetics at the Rehabilitation Institute of Chicago.
