OPAF Awarded Grant Funding

Orthotic & Prosthetic Assistance Fund Inc. (OPAF) and The First Clinics recently received two grants in separate award ceremonies. First, the Wachovia Wells Fargo Foundation awarded a $1,000 grant to OPAF to continue work with its First Clinics. OPAF was one of 36 grantees by Wachovia in the greater Philadelphia region.

OPAF and First Volley also received a $3,000 grant from Foundations Community Partnership to continue the First Volley Adaptive Tennis Clinics in Bucks County, Pa. This grant was one of 13 grants presented in a ceremony in Doylestown. This funding will allow for more First Volley Clinics for amputees and those with physical challenges in the Bucks County area of Pennsylvania.

Robin Burton, OPAF executive director, and Darren Kindred, First Volley director of tennis, accepted the award on behalf of OPAF.
