CMS launches DMEPOS bidding timeline education program

The Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services announced the launch of the bidding timeline for the Round 1 Recompete of the Medicare Durable Medical Equipment, Prosthetics, Orthotics and Supplies Competitive Bidding Program, as well as a comprehensive bidder education program, according to a press release.

Designed to ensure that Medicare Durable Medical Equipment, Prosthetics, Orthotics and Supplies suppliers submit completed bids in a timely manner, the education program will include webcasts and information that will cover the essential topics suppliers will need to know in order to bid. These webcasts will be announced through the Competitive Bidding Implementation Center (CBIC) email update and will be available 24 hours a day, 7 days a week. Bidding rules, user guides, policy fact sheets, checklists and bidding information charts can be found on the CBIC website.
