OPAF hosts First Dive Clinic at Wright State University

The Orthotic & Prosthetic Activities Foundation (OPAF) hosted its largest First Dive Intro to Scuba Clinic at Wright State University, Ohio, in conjunction with the Dayton Amputee Coalition Limb Loss Education Day on March 23.

Twenty-two amputees participated, led by Stacey Minton, OPAF’s First Dive director of scuba. Wright State students and staff assisted in the event under the direction of Regina Bier, a member of the Women Divers Hall of Fame.

“Everyone was engaged and first timers to scuba really seemed to enjoy the activity and value the experience,” Lisa Watkins, of Willow Wood, an OPAF sponsor, stated in a press release.
