Ability P&O adds to staff

Ability Prosthetics & Orthotics has added two new members to its team, according to a company press release.

Jamie Gandert, MSPO, board eligible orthotist and resident prosthetist, will be joining the Exton, Pa. office. She received a master’s degree in prosthetics and orthotics from the University of Pittsburgh and accepted an orthotic residency at DuPont Hospital for Children in Wilmington, Del.

Gandert is one of the few orthotists in the country trained in the Wilmington Brace for the management of idiopathic adolescent scoliosis, and in the Wilmington robotic exoskeleton (WREX) for arthogryposis. 

Tyler Manee, CPO, also will be joining Ability at its Frederick, Md. office.

He received a master’s degree in prosthetics and orthotics from the Georgia Institute of Technology, and has spent time abroad creating prosthetic and orthotic devices.

Manee completed his orthotics residency at Atlanta Prosthetics and Orthotics, and his prosthetic residency with the Center for Orthotic and Prosthetic Care, where he worked closely with Duke University Medical Center.
