Educational materials created for amputees in developing nations

ATLANTIC CITY, N.J. — After working with LIMBS International to better understand the needs of amputees in developing nations, professors at the University of Hartford are creating a series of posters to help educate amputees in a culturally sensitive manner, often with minimal text. Matthew Parente, MS, PT, CPO, clinical director of the Prosthetics and Orthotics Program at the University of Hartford in West Hartford, Conn. presents a poster at the New Jersey chapter of the American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists annual meeting.
