Ability P&O hires chief operating officer

Ability Prosthetics & Orthotics Inc. in Exon, Pa. has announced the hiring of Kathleen DeLawrence as chief operating officer.

According to a company press release, DeLawrence previously served on Ability’s board of directors and has more than 20 years of experience in the pharmaceutical industry. She was chief operating officer for Prism Pharmaceuticals, where she was responsible for business operations, manufacturing, and supply chain, marketing and sales. Before that she was the vice president and general manager of Dover Communications, a privately owned medical education company that was acquired by CardinalHealth. She also has worked at AstraZeneca, AstraMerck, Price Waterhouse and General Electric. For the past 3 years, DeLawrence operated a strategic consulting practice focused on entrepreneurial businesses in the health care and life sciences market.
