Drive Medical Ltd., a manufacturer of durable medical equipment for the home health care and rehabilitation markets, has announced the acquisition of Specialist Orthotic Services Ltd. The move will allow Drive Medical to enhance its global product offering in the specialized seating systems market sector, according to a press release.
Terms of the acquisition were not disclosed.
Specialist Orthotic Services (SOS) provides innovative specialized seating systems and other rehabilitation products to aid mobility and daily living. Drive Medical Limited also acquired the manufacturing and distribution facility of SOS located in Staffordshire, England.
“The acquisition of Specialised Orthotic Services extends our already significant presence in Europe and expands our portfolio of products in the specialized seating and rehabilitation market,” Harvey P. Diamond, chairman and CEO of Drive Medical, stated in the release.
