Kevin Carroll, MS, CP, FAAOP, vice president of prosthetics for Hanger Clinic, delivered Quinnipiac University’s School of Health Sciences and School of Nursing undergraduate commencement speech on May 17, where he was also awarded an honorary doctor of humane letters degree during the ceremony.
“It was an honor and a pleasure to have Kevin Carroll receive an honorary doctoral degree from Quinnipiac University in recognition of his decades of service to individuals with limb loss,” Kimberly Hartmann, BS, MHS, PhD, interim dean of the School Health Sciences at Quinnipiac, stated in a press release. “His address to the graduates inspired virtues that he himself has lived by critical thinking, creativity, collaboration and compassion.”
“Being asked to address the next generation of nurses, health care practitioners and biomedical scientists is an unbelievable honor,” Carroll stated. “These men and women has chosen an exciting career field that will allow them to improve people’s lives and be part of the rewarding process of moving health care forward. I wish them all the best.”
