WillowWood recently announced it has been awarded a Healthy Ohio Healthy Worksite Award from the Ohio State Department of Health and the Healthy Ohio Business Council.
According to a press release, the award recognizes employers that demonstrate commitment to employee health through comprehensive worksite health promotion and wellness programs.
WillowWood offers wellness programs for staff including health fairs, tobacco cessation, walking challenges, community gardening, weight loss and fitness training. In addition, employees are encouraged to utilize the company’s workout facility, half-mile outdoor walking path, sand volleyball court and three ponds for catch-and-release fishing.
WillowWood is one of 68 Ohio employers to receive the state award and was recognized at the bronze level at the Health Action Council’s 2016 Annual Conference on Jan. 20.
This was the first year WillowWood applied for the award, according to the release.
