United States Tennis Association awards OPAF with wheelchair tennis grant

The Orthotic and Prosthetic Activities Foundation and its First Clinics initiative have been awarded the 2017 United States Tennis Association Wheelchair Tennis Grant, according to a press release. The grant is worth $5,000.

According to the release, the Orthotic and Prosthetic Activities Foundation (OPAF) will use the grant to fund ongoing clinics and training for participants and allied health care and tennis teaching professionals.

Along with the grant, OPAF also received an Invacare Top End Pro Tennis Wheelchair that will be used for wheelchair tennis training and clinics.

Dates and locations for the upcoming clinics are being determined and will be released when confirmed, according to the release.
