Ability P&O announces sale of Greenville patient care office

Ability Prosthetics and Orthotics has announced the sale of its patient care office in Greenville, S.C., according to a press release. The office will be purchased by Carolina O&P, which is based in Charleston, S.C.

“We are thrilled to acquire Ability P&O’s upstate patient care office,” Ralph Hooper, CPO, president of Carolina O&P, said in the release. “Ability has done a fine job organically growing the office over the past 5 years in the headwinds of a staunch ACO marketplace.”

Jeffrey Brandt, CPO, chief executive officer and founder of Ability P&O, said the purchasing company is uniquely positioned within the state with payers and referral sources, and it will “help elevate the upstate practice to the next level, while allowing for Ability’s growth in the mid-Atlantic, between North Carolina and Pennsylvania,” according to the release.

Brandt said patients will “remain the priority” throughout the transition.
