Dralla Foundation announces 2017 grant recipients

The Dralla Foundation has announced the Adaptive Sports Foundation, Catalyst Sports, Common Ground Outdoor Adventures, Jett Foundation, Kinetic Kids, Shirley Ryan Ability Lab and World T.E.A.M. Sports as its 2017 grant recipients.

According to a press release, the foundation’s grants are meant to help improve physical function and quality of life for individuals with physical challenges.

“Since 2011, [the] Dralla Foundation has been making unforgettable days possible for children and adults with physical challenges,” according to the release. “Nonprofit organizations spanning the United States have received a total of over $200,000 in grants.”

According to the release, the grants will fund activities from July 2017 through March 2018, including two bicycle camps, a day of adaptive athletics, an “outdoor adventure” featuring hiking and water sports, a ski and snowboard race, an overnight camp with adaptive cycling and archery, and basic swim safety lessons at a water park.

The foundation will begin accepting grant applications for its next cycle in December. The deadline for submissions is Feb. 1, 2018. The 2018 grant recipients will be announced in May 2018.
