OPAF seeking board of director nominations

The Orthotic and Prosthetic Activities Foundation is seeking nominations for three seats on its board of directors, according to a press release. The successful candidates will serve terms of 1 years, 2 years or 3 years.

Members of the board will also be expected to attend at least one of two face-to-face annual meetings held in conjunction with the American Orthotics and Prosthetic Association (AOPA) and American Academy of Orthotists and Prosthetists (AAOP) national meetings, according to the release.

In addition, nominees should have an appropriate background, as well as a familiarity with, and dedication to, fundraising. Experience in 501(c)(3) nonprofit committee or volunteer work is preferred, but not required, the release noted.

Nomination materials are available at the OPAF website. Submissions are due into the OPAF office by July 28. The new directors’ terms will begin on Dec. 1.
