Hanger donates $10,000 to Hurricane Harvey relief

Hanger Inc. has donated $10,000 to the American Red Cross to help with relief and recovery efforts in the wake of Hurricane Harvey, according to a press release.

In addition, the company announced it will match others’ donations up to $10,000 through Oct. 31.

“Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone affected by Hurricane Harvey, particularly all who have been displaced from their homes,” Vinit K. Asar, president and chief executive officer of Hanger, said in the release. “There is a great need for assistance as Texas and the Gulf Coast rebuild and recover, and as a Hanger family, we stand at the ready to help with the recovery efforts. Many of our employees and patients have already dedicated time, money, and supplies to outreach efforts across the area. I am continually humbled by and appreciative of our community’s ability to band together in times of adversity, and support one another.”
