Advanced Arm Dynamics (AAD) announced the opening of the Northeast Center of Excellence in Philadelphia. The center’s clinical manager is Ryan Spill, CP.

Spill joined the AAD team at Walter Reed Army Medical Center in 2007 as an upper extremity specialist. Prior to that, he was a clinical representative for Motion Control Inc., training prosthetists worldwide in externally powered fitting techniques.

He received his prosthetic certificate from California State University, Dominguez Hills, and a bachelor’s degree in health sciences from Lock Haven University in Pennsylvania. He is an ABC-certified prosthetist and has presented at national and international symposia on upper extremity prosthetics.

“Advanced Arm Dynamics’ mission is to provide the highest level of care to upper extremity patients,” John Miguelez, CP, AAD president and senior clinical director, stated in a press release. “The Northeast Center of Excellence positions a skilled clinical team in the region, creating a convenient location for patients to access specialized care.”

The Northeast Center of Excellence opened March 20. It features a full lab, comfortable patient rooms, a conference room and a kitchen, and includes convenient amenities like cable television, movies and Internet access.

“It’s exciting to already be busy helping patients at the Northeast Center,” Spill stated. “We’re able to take a lot of what we did at Walter Reed working with young, motivated service members, and share those creative designs and techniques with our patients here.”
