BOC names new chair and members of board, executive committee

The Board of Certification/Accreditation recently announced election results for its 2016 board of directors, chair and executive committee.

According to a press release from the Board of Certification/Accreditation (BOC), L. Bradley “Brad” Watson, BOCO, BOCP, LPO, was elected chair. Watson, an owner and practitioner at Clarksville Limb & Brace and Rehab Inc., comes with more than 24 years of experience in the profession. He joined the board in 2012 and most recently served as secretary.

“I am confident Brad will continue to advance BOC’s strategic imperatives with integrity and professionalism,” Claudia Zacharias, MBA, CAE, BOC president and chief executive officer, said in the press release.

Joining him on the board’s executive committee are Rod Borkowski, CDME, who will serve as vice chair; Wayne R. Rosen, BOCP, BOCO, FAAOP, who will serve as secretary; Shane Ryley, BOCP, BOCO, who will serve as treasurer; William J. Powers, MBA, LFACHE, who was re-elected as a member-at-large; and James L. Hewlett, BOCO, immediate past chair.

The newly elected board members are Diana Klunk, CMF; David Regier, ATC; and Wayne Rosen, BOCP, BOCO, FAAOP.

Klunk is president and founder of LifeChanges Boutique Inc. She will serve as a director on the board. Regier, an amputee, is director of rehabilitation at Fort Worth Orthopedic Surgery and Sports Medicine. He will serve as a public member. Rosen, former owner of W.R. Rosen Inc., will serve as secretary on the executive committee.

As of Dec. 31, 2015, John P. Kenney, MURP, BOCO, who served as member-at-large, secretary vice-chair and chair, stepped down from the board after 8 years of service, according to the release.

Ronnie W. Bias, BOCP, BOCO, owner of Bias Orthotics & Prosthetics in Opelousas, and Louisiana and Theresa McLeod, COF, CMF, managers of Boutique Services at the Evelyn H. Lauder Breast Center of the Memorial Sloan Kettering Breast Center in New York City, completed their terms in December.
