Anatomical Designs hosts OPAF First Things First clinic

Anatomical Designs, an O&P design and manufacturing company, recently hosted a First Things First training and clinic as a part of the Orthotics and Prosthetics Activities Foundation’s First Clinics initiative, according to a press release.

The event, led by Chris Doerger, PT, CP, was held in Bridgeport, W.Va., and offered local therapists, health care professionals, amputees and family members fall and recovery training. Continuing education credits were available to attendees, the release noted.

“It is easy to find fall prevention training, but not easy to find training in safe falls and recovery,” Ann Devine-King, PT, of HealthSouth Mountain View Rehab, said in the release. “This clinic successfully tackled the difficult task of training clinicians and patients in fall strategies and recovery.”

This was the Orthotics and Prosthetics Activities Foundation’s second visit to West Virginia in 6 months, according to the release. The foundation plans to return for an additional First Clinic with Anatomical Designs in the fall.
